The personbehind the work.
Father. Founder. Author.
Fifteen years in technology. A community built for his daughters. A story still being written.
Kevin M. Coles
Kevin M. Coles is an Arizona-based speaker, author, and technology leader. He founded Coles Technical Group and Raising Tactical Daughters, and is the author of the memoir The One Who Would Be Okay.
His career spans fifteen years in enterprise technology across financial services, defense, utilities, government, and media. His writing and speaking reach beyond technology into responsibility, fatherhood, loss, and rebuilding.
Being counted on
starts somewhere.
Kevin M. Coles moved to Arizona as a child and spent much of his adolescence learning to manage life with limited adult presence. Years later, losing his father changed what success, family, and being there meant to him.
He built a technology career from analyst to architect and technical leadership. He also experienced financial collapse and the work of rebuilding. Those experiences form the personal foundation of his memoir.
Fatherhood made the responsibility more specific: be present, make memories, and give his daughters a childhood they can remember with laughter.
Built for his daughters.
Shared with a community.
Founded in 2019, Raising Tactical Daughters focused on situational awareness, de-escalation, and practical self-defense education for women and girls.
The community grew to reach more than 150,000 people across 35 states, with coverage including ABC15 Arizona, VoyagePhoenix, and the Peoria Independent.
